Rs1.5bn allocated for roads repair: Wahab
KARACHI: City Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Tuesday said that the provincial government was improving road network and basic civic amenities in the city.
“An amount of Rs1.5 billion has been allocated for the repair of damaged roads,” he said while speaking at a ceremony held at Fish Square, Hawkesbay to mark the ground-breaking of a plan to build a two-lane road from Machli Chowk to KANUPP.
He said that the construction of the six-km road would be completed in the next four months with an estimated cost of Rs840 million.
He said that with the construction of this road in Hawkesbay, the citizens would be able to reach the coastal recreational places easily.
The administrator said that development works were being carried out in every area of the city without any partiality. “As many as 22 roads will be constructed in districts Central and West,” he added.
