LAHORE: Pakistan’s Zohaib Rasheed reached the semi-final of the minimum weight (48kg) category at the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships at Tashkent, according to an announcement made by the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) here on Monday.

Rasheed, who became the national champion last month in Lahore, defeated Samutun Mudiyanselage Kavinda Sanja of Sri Lanka.

PBF president Khalid Mahmood congratulated Zohaib, his coach, family and Pakistan Navy on his triumph.
