Camps to provide awareness about health card facility: minister

RAWALPINDI: Provincial Law Minister Mohammad Basharat Raja on Sunday said camps would be set up in Rawalpindi Cantonment to create awareness about the Naya Pakistan Health Card facility.

Lauding the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar for providing health cards to every head of the family in Rawalpindi district,

Mr Raja said CM Buzdar was turning the dream of a welfare state into reality as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Basharat Raja said provision of free-of-cost facilities to the province’s residents, including Rawalpindi, was a revolutionary step of the PTI-led government.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer Dr Faiza Kanwal told this agency that the health card facility started in the district on Jan 20.

She said up to Rs1 million worth of treatment would be provided to people at 11 hospitals of the city.

They were Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology, Bilal Hospital, Christian hospital, Al Syed Hospital, Hussain Lakhani International Hospital, Al Khidmat Hospital, Saidpur Road, Islamic International Medical Welfare Trust, Abbasi Hospital, Bahria International Hospital, Friends Medical Welfare Trust and Sadaqat International Hospital.
