LUMHS, SAU hold entry tests

HYDERABAD: Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, on Sunday conducted entry test for admission in various undergraduate degree and diploma programmes.

LUMHS vice chancellor Prof Ikram Din Ujjan said that a total of 2,900 candidates appeared in tests for 495 seats of physiotherapy, pharmacy, nursing, biomedical engineering and medical technology disciplines.

He said that LUMHS commenced various new degree and diploma programmes which would be beneficial for students to secure their career within the country and abroad.

The entry test was held under high security cover, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Covid-19 were observed accordingly.

SAU entry test

Around 2,940 candidates, including 300 female, appeared in the entry test

of Sindh Agriculture Uni­versity (SAU), Tando­jam, held in Public School Latifabad for admission in undergraduate degree programmes for the new session at its affiliated colleges, institutes and Umerkot sub-campus.

SAU made district-wise allocation of 1,662 seats to offer admission to five faculties and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Agriculture College, Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Dokri, and SAU sub-campus, Umerkot.

Out of 2,940 candidates, 901 have passed their HSC exam in pre-engineering group, 2011 in pre-medical group and 28 in computer science group.

SAU Vice Chancellor Dr Fateh Mohammad Mari told journalists that the test was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.

Strong contingents of police and Rangers were deployed and officials from district administration visited the venue while the test was under way.
