JI starts campaign for Khuzdar’s rights

KHUZDAR: Jamaat-i-Islami set up a protest camp in Khuzdar on Monday to press for the rights of the city.

Speaking at a press conference, JI local leader Maulana Mohammad Aslam Gazgi announced that his party had planned to launch a movement for rights of Khuzdar.

He said the people of Khuzdar were being deprived of their basic rights. He claimed that resources of Balochistan were being used for development of other provinces. He said protests, like the one organised in Gwadar under the leadership of Maulana Hidayatur Rehman, would be organised across Balochistan.

Maulana Gazgi said JI had launched the movement for Khuzdar’s rights and on Tuesday a big rally would be organised during which the future line of action would be announced.

He said Khuzdar was facing many problems, including unannounced and long hours of power loadshedding and lack of health and education facilities.

He accused the government of ignoring Khuzdar, saying that the city was facing many problems, but no government institution was paying attention to it.

He said there were very few job opportunities for the people of Khuzdar.
