FBR signs pact with KP revenue board

ISLAMABAD: The Fed­eral Board of Revenue (FBR) has signed an agreement for data sharing with Board of Revenue and Estate Khyber Pakhtun­khwa to help the provincial government in bringing agriculture income in the tax net.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will share specified digital data, including data about land/property ownership and agricultural income, which will help both organisations to improve their tax collection activities in their respective domains.The agreement was signed by the KP Board of Revenue and Estate Senior Member Zafar Shah and the FBR Member IT, Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Tunio, on Wednesday.

The agreement also envisages plan to develop integrated IT-based platforms through which automated exchange of data will be possible in future.
