KARACHI: Al Sagheer Club Colours trounced Habibians Club 2-1 to notch up their second victory in three matches of Pool ‘A’ in the Inter-club Hockey Champ­ionship here at the KHA Sports Complex on Monday.

The winners, who crushed Airport Club 11-0 in their opener before losing 2-1 to Police Boys Club, netted through Arif Hanif and Ashir Ahmed. Syed Aun Ali reduced the deficit for Habibians. Pool ‘A’ is still open as Police Boys are yet to play two matches and Habibians one after which group position will become clear.

In another match, Rabbani Club held YMCA Club to a 1-1 draw. Adeel Khan scored for YMCA while Imran netted for Rabbani Club.

National Club continued their winning spree when they humbled Dolphin Club 7-1, thanks to a hat-trick by Arsalan Haider who strengthened his team’s position in Pool ‘G’. Besides Arsalan, National Club scored their remaining goals through Mohammad Asim Abbasi, Mohammad Usman, Ghulam Ali and Mohammad Muzammil. Muzammil Hussain scored for Dolphin Club.

Tuesday’s fixtures:

Youth Club Orange vs Central Fitness Club at 3pm; Sea Hawk Club vs Korangi Tigers Club at 4pm; United Club vs Baldia Club at 5pm.
