LAHORE: A young girl reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in Defence here on Friday.

The family alerted the police when they found the body of the 21-year-old girl (N) hanging from the ceiling fan, sharing no further details about the incident.

The Defence police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy to find out either it was a murder or a suicide incident.

The police said the family was reluctant to share motive behind the extreme step taken by the girl and refused to report the matter.
