TOBA TEK SINGH: Police claim to have arrested two men who raped an 18-year-old girl on the motorway (M-4) three days ago.

According to the FIR lodged on Thursday under sections 365-B and 376 of PPC, complainant Shaheen Akhtar of Garden Town No 1 informed the Gojra city police that a woman offered job to his niece at a boutique. As she reached the specified place at Gojra for interview, he said, the woman and her two accomplices (both residents of Chak 288 JB) took her to Faisalabad by motorway and raped her in the car at gunpoint.

Later, the complainant said, they dropped her at Faisalabad interchange from where she returned to Gojra by a van.

District police spokesperson Attaullah claimed that police had arrested the two suspects and were conducting raids to apprehend the woman who lured the girl to visit Gojra. He said one of the suspects raped the girl while the other attempted to rape her but could not succeed.

He said swab samples and other proofs of the clothes and car seat had been sent to Lahore’s Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory for DNA test.

A medical officer at the THQ hospital confirmed the rape of the girl in her report.

In another incident, a young man allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl at Gojra’s Chak 243 GB. The Saddar police said Maqsood Masih’s daughter was alone at home when the suspect came there after scaling the outer wall and raped her. A youngster raped a 17-year-old boy at Chak 283 JB. Police said the suspect called the boy to his house a few days ago and raped him at gunpoint. The suspect with the help of an accomplice also made video recording of the crime and later got money from the boy by threatening that they would upload the video on social media.

Police registered a case and arrested the two suspects on Thursday.
