Students of private schools excel in Dera board exam results

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dera Ismail Khan, announced results of the matriculation and intermediate examinations here on Thursday.

Students of private schools secured all the top positions in the science group.

In Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, Maimuna Matin of Imran Public School secured first position in the science group by getting 1,086 marks.

The second position was shared by four candidates Aeman Abiha Sheikh of Qurtaba Public School, Ariba Nadeem of The Knowledge Home, Abdul Basit of Leeds School and Abdullah Zahoor of Lens School, all obtaining 1,084 marks out of total 1,100.

Three candidates shared the third position by getting 1,082 marks. They included Zahra Farooq of St. Helen School, Hama Wazir of Khyber Public School and Tayyaba Hameed of Iqra Science School, Paharpur.

A total of 14,949 candidates appeared in the SSC science group of which 14,721 passed the exams.

In SSC arts group, Zaiba Muneem of Government Girls Higher Secondary School No. 9, Dinpur, clinched first position with 1,042 marks, Iman Ali of Government Girls Higher Secondary School No. 5, Mohalla Qasaban, second with 996 marks and Asma Gul of Government Girls High School No. 4 stood third by obtaining 980 marks.

In Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examinations, Shabihul Assad of Leeds School secured first position by obtaining 1,090 marks, Mohammad Aftab of Iqra Science School, Paharpur, second position with 1,086 marks while Isha Ali of Government Girls Degree College, Wana and Haikah Zaidi of Leeds School and Collage shared the third position with 1,082 marks of the total 1,100.

Mohammad Qasim Ali of Islamia Learning bagged the first position in Inter Computer Science group by securing 1,086 marks and Saqib Ijaz of Government Degree College No. 1, Dera, second position with 1,032 marks while Daniyal of Government Degree College No. 2, Dera, and Ahmed Khan shared third position with 1,024 marks.
