KARACHI: The construction work of the Rs16.4 billion Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Karachi, is under way, says a statement issued here on Sunday after a press briefing given by Dr Muhammed Aasim Yusuf, the acting chief executive officer of the centre.

He said the construction work for the centre, located in DHA City, was in full swing as structural work on the lower ground, ground and first floors was close to completion.
