Constable hurt in Bannu grenade attack

LAKKI MARWAT: A constable was injured when unidentified persons hurled a hand grenade at a police post in Bannu on Thursday.

An official said that the attackers hurled a hand grenade at the police post in Purdilkhel area and escaped on a motorcycle. He said that a constable identified as Sadat was wounded in the attack.

He was rushed to district headquarters hospital for treatment.

The official said that policemen also fired at the attackers but they managed to escape.

RPO Sajid Ali Khan and DPO Imran Shahid also reached the hospital and issued instructions to the administration for provision of quality treatment services to the injured cop.

The district police chief also inspected the police post after the attack.
