KARACHI: The city’s weather is likely to remain humid, hot/very hot for four days (from the 14th to the 17th) with maximum temperature ranging between 38 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius, the Met department stated on Monday.

“The low pressure area persists over Gujarat-Rajasthan [India] and adjoining eastern Sindh with another depression formed over the Bay of Bengal. Under its influence isolated dust-thunderstorms/rain likely in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar and Badin districts. Karachi’s weather is likely to remain hot/very hot during 14-17 Sept,” stated the department’s website.

About chances of rain in Karachi, Sardar Sarfaraz representing the department said it might have some rainfall but after Sept 17 when the system currently over the Bay of Bengal reaches Karachi.

The maximum and minimum temperature recorded on Monday was 36.2 degrees Celsius and 29.9 degrees Celsius.
