KARACHI: Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Thursday said that he is deeply saddened over the tragic incident of terrorism in Mowach Goth last month.

“Full investigation into the incident is under way, the terrorists will be brought to justice,” the administrator said while meeting the bereaved families and injured persons of Mowach Goth tragedy in Sherpao Colony.

Fateha and prayers were offered for the victims and Mr Wahab distributed checks of Rs1 million each for the victims and Rs200,000 each for the injured.

He said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had announced compensation for the families of the martyrs and injured persons.

A family was targeted by terrorists in Mowach Goth on Aug 14, in which 13 people lost their lives and seven others sustained injuries.

The administrator said that Sindh CM was supposed to come today but he could not come due to his sudden engagement in Islamabad.

“Financial assistance is not a substitute for human life. Sindh government will not leave you alone in the hour of sorrow,” Barrister Wahab said and added that the best medical facilities have been provided to the injured on the direction of the PPP leadership.

The families of the victims were grateful to the Sindh government for their cooperation in this hour of grief.
