Man found with slit throat in North Karachi

KARACHI: A man was found dead with a slit throat in North Karachi on Wednesday, said police.

The Gabol Town police said that the body of a man in his mid-50s was found near Gul Sher hotel in Sector 15-B in Buffer Zone.

They added that it appeared that the victim was kidnapped and killed somewhere and later on his body was thrown there.

The corpse was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) to fulfil medico-legal formalities.

His identity could not be ascertained immediately.

Four men shot at, hurt by robbers

Four men were shot at and wounded by suspected robbers in separate incidents.

Federal B Industrial Area police said that 27-year-old Shaharyar Alam was shot and wounded during robbery resistance near Chippa Centre near Shafiq Mor. The wounded man was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

In another incident, Zulfiqar Ali, 35, was shot and wounded during robbery at Nusrat Bhutto Colony in North Nazimabad.

The wounded was taken to the ASH for treatment.

A 22-year-old, Usman Alamgir, was wounded by armed robbers near railway tracks at Mohammad Ali Jauhar Mor in Model Colony.

The wounded man was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

A 45-year-old man, Manzoor Hussain, was shot and wounded by robbers during resistance at Noor Mohammed Goth off Superhighway, said Gulshan-i-Maymar police.

The injured was taken to the ASH
