MALAKAND: A local ANP leader was injured while his two colleagues were killed and another one was injured in an ambush in the limits of Dargai Levies post here late on Wednesday night.

Injured Advocate Raziq Jan told police that he along with his nephew and three associates was on his way home in his car after attending an ANP meeting in Garhi Osmankhel on Wednesday night. He said when they reached Rondah Khwar area accused Sanaullah, Inayatullah, Zahidur Rehman, Kakat of Garhi Osmankhel opened fire on them with Kalashnikovs.

As a result, he said, his aide Sher Wali alias Katch was killed on the spot while his himself and his two other colleagues including Sothar and Umra Khan got injuries. Later Sothar succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital in Peshawar.

His nephew Fazal Raziq escaped unhurt in the attack. The motive behind the attack was stated to be old enmity. The Malakand Levies have registered FIR against the accused persons and started investigation.
