AWARENESS: The women participants of a public forum have decided to create awareness of the harms of drug use among students both girls and boys.
“We will hold interactive sessions with students at their educational institutions about the harmful effects of the use of narcotics as well as sexual harassment,” former MPA Sajida Tabassum told the event, which was organised by Aawaz here on Thursday.
The participants, mostly women social activists, highlighted the issues of inheritance, sexual harassment, child labour, and those faced by transgender persons and people with disabilities.
Ms Tabassum said the social welfare department would also be taken on board before regularly launching the campaign at the schools in urban and rural parts of the district.
