Punjab govt reimposes certain restrictions in Lahore, Pindi, Faisalabad and Multan in view of rising cases

The Punjab government has reimposed certain restrictions, including the closure of shrines and cinemas, observance of two safe days a week, and a ban on indoor dining in four cities of the province — Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Multan — amid rising coronavirus cases.

The restrictions will be in force from August 3 to 31, according to a notification issued by the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department.

Other restrictions include a ban on indoor wedding functions from Aug 8 and a 50 per cent work-from-home policy while public transport will be allowed to operate at 50pc occupancy.
