Go for adaptations

THE film industry of Pakistan, which used to produce amazing movies in the past because of amazing storylines, adaptation of novels and wonderful scripts, has failed to release a single film since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Pakistani cinema has seen its fair share of ups and downs. While the 1960s and ’70s represent the golden era of Pakistani cinema, the quality of films deteriorated over time and reached its lowest point in the last decade.

As a result, the popularity of foreign content, mostly Turkish, has grown manifold. Pakistani artists and producers should come out of their comfort zone and work on new projects.

Many novelists and storywriters have produced work that deserves adaptations. During these depressing times, people are looking forward to quality entertainment, and count on artists and producers. They must not let the public down.
