Robbers strike at six places in capital

ISLAMABAD: Robbers struck at six different places of capital and looted cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees, police said.

In the first incident, Usman Mushtaq told the police that thieves stole cash and gold ornaments worth Rs500,000 from his house in G-13/2.

He said he suspected that his housemaid might have been involved in the theft.

In another incident thieves stole construction material including iron rods from an under constriction house of Irfan Mohammad Khan, located in Gulberg Green, the police said, adding that the contractor and labourers were behind the theft.

Meanwhile, four vehicles were stolen from different areas of capital, the police said.

A Suzuki Mehran owned by Mohammad Bilal was stolen from Sabzi Mandi, Rawat, they said, adding a Honda motorcycle of Wasim Ullah was lifted from F-8 Markaz.

A new brand Honda 125 owned by Shahbaz Sardar was stolen from a parking area of a plaza in Blue Area, they said, adding that another Honda motorcycle and owned by Mohammad Yousaf was lifted from Golra.
