Earning peanuts
IT is a pity that the government in Balochistan has failed to implement the minimum wage law. The private school where I study exploits its teachers and pays less than Rs10,000 to them each month, which is way below the minimum wage set by the government. One of my teachers told me that she was getting Rs8,500 despite working hard. How can a person run a household in such a low salary?
The government must look into the matter and take action against private schools that deprive the teachers of their right to earn a decent living.
