IT is unfortunate to hear people holding the government of the day responsible for every crisis in Pakistan when the fact is that it is the bureaucracy which is responsible for whatever happens in the country.

The bureaucrats just enjoy their prestigious positions instead of performing their duties diligently.

The government must ensure the accountability of bureaucrats and terminate the services of those found involved in corruption or negligence of duty. Moreover, there must be civil service reforms to ensure accountability and efficiency.
