Sindh has reported 1,178 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to an update from Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's office. This marks the fifth straight day the province recorded over 1,000 infections.

The provincial tally of cases has risen to 284,738. Sindh has also confirmed 13 additional fatalities, taking the death toll to 4,658.

According to the update, 418 people recovered from Covid-19 while 14,739 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
