The KP home department has announced new restrictions for Eidul Fitr in view of an increase in Covid-19 cases in the province. They include:

• All markets, businesses and shops to remain closed from May 8 to 16, except essential services
• Ban on all Chand Raat bazaars throughout the province
• Complete ban on tourism between May 8 and 16, including Eid holidays
• Inter-provincial, inter-city and intra-city public transport to remain closed from May 8 to 16
