Six quacks booked for reopening ‘sealed’ clinics

SUKKUR: Sindh health department authorities got a case lodged against six quacks in Jacobabad on Thursday for reopening their clinics, which had been sealed earlier, and playing with peoples’ lives.

Saddar police registered an FIR under sections 201, 419, 420 PPC on a complaint lodged by assistant director of health department Abdul Sami Rajpar. The quacks were identified as Dhani Bux Lashari, Darshan Lal, Noor Islam, Himmat Tanwari and two others whose names could not be

ascertained. The department had earlier sealed their clinics but the quacks reopened them later. Police had so far not made any arrest.

Doctor sent to jail for ‘misbehaving’ with AC

MIRPURKHAS: A doctor was sent behind bars for exchanging hot words with assistant commissioner of Hussain Bux Marri taluka at a filling station on Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas road here on Thursday.

Sources said that skin specialist Dr Sajan Das who worked at Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital was sitting at a filling station owned by his brother Kushaal Das when the assistant commissioner arrived there and checked meters.

The officer found the meters tampered with and sealed the filling station, prompting the doctor to intervene and exchange hot words with him.
