THE third Covid wave has increased positivity rate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in Peshawar. The careless attitude of both the people and the government has been making matters worse. The bus rapid transport (BRT) service in Peshawar poses a serious threat to public health because the buses remain overcrowded, with no chance of anyone being able to follow the SOPs.

After a huge spike in positive cases in Peshawar, the provincial government decided to suspend all transport for two days a week in the whole province. Why was BRT allowed to continue?
