[Agencies add from Rawalpindi] Syed Gilani, Amir, Jamaat-i-Islami, Punjab … lauded the steps taken by President Gen A.M. Yahya Khan, to defend the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan. In a Press statement … he urged the Government to annul the National Assembly and hold fresh elections in the country on the basis of separate electorate. He said after the Government’s decision to outlaw the Awami League the existence of National Assembly was illogical.
