Six of a family killed in accident
CHAGAI: A man, his wife and their four children were killed in a road accident in the Kardagap area of Mastung district on Wednesday.
Kardagap Assistant Commissioner Atta Baloch told Dawn that the victims were on their way to Quetta from Nushki in a car on RCD Highway when a bus coming from opposite direction hit their car.
He said a teenager and a woman were under treatment after being seriously injured in the same accident. The bus driver fled from the scene, but his vehicle was taken into custody, he added.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Malik, his wife Ruqia, sons Shan and Jabir and daughters Sajafa and Aqama.
The assistant commissioner said the identity of the seventh deceased could not be ascertained.
The dead and the injured were taken to Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Memorial Hospital in Mastung. Later, the seriously injured people were referred to the Combined Military Hospital, Quetta.
