Robbers have a field day in capital

ISLAMABAD: Robbers, burglars and thieves looted cash and valuables worth millions of rupees from 11 different places of capital, police said.

In the first incident six armed men entered a house of Mohammad Sajad in I-8/2 and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs1.4million, they said.

In a similar incident, armed robbers looted cash and gold ornaments from the house of a major, located in G-10/3.

Four gunmen took the residents of the house hostage and later detained them in a room. The resorted to firing in the air while fleeing.

Three persons raided a shop located in Burma Town and made off with Rs150,000 in cash.

Similarly, thee persons armed with weapons looted cash and mobile from a man in Koral. The robbers intercepted Fawad Aslam at Koral and held him at gunpoint.

Shortly, they snatched cash and mobile worth Rs83,000 from him and escaped.

Moreover, some burglars broke into a house of Allah Rakha, located in G-13/1 and made off with gold ornaments worth Rs400,000. The inmates of the house were away.

Furthermore, some thieves stole ornaments and valuables worth Rs500,000 from a house, the police said, adding that the incident took place in Zain Ali’s house located in Jhangi Syedan area.

Meanwhile, seven vehicles were either snatched or stolen from different areas of capital, the police said.

A 2019 model Toyota Corolla was stolen from Faisal Colony, Honda Civic was lifted Golra.

Two motorcycles were stolen from Ghouri Town, one from Gangal and a New Asia Rickshaw from G-13.
