GILGIT: The Gilgit-Baltistan government on Saturday said tourists entering the region must have a Covid-19 negative certificate.

According to a notification issued on Saturday, under GB Epidemic Disease Prevention and Control Ordinance, 2020, the government has made it incumbent on the tourists that they would only be allowed in the region if they had a valid Covid-19 negative certificate.

It said that all the concerned had been directed to ensure strict compliance of the tourism SOPs already circulated by the health department.
