Sha’aban to begin tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The month of Sha’aban will begin on Tuesday (tomorrow) as the moon was not sighted anywhere in the country on Sunday, according to the Ruet-i-Hilal Committee.

The committee held its meeting, chaired by its chief Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, at the Kohsar block of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Earlier, a post by the Ministry of Science and Technology on its website caused confusion, before the Ruet body’s announcement, as it said that the first of Sha’aban will fall on Monday (today).
