PIA resumes flights between Lahore, Islamabad

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday resumed its flights between Lahore and Islamabad after months-long suspension due to pandemic.

PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez said the first flight PK-650 departed from Lahore for Islamabad on Friday.

The spokesman said that the airline would operate its flight between Lahore and Islamabad thrice a week.

Station manager Ali Asghar Zaidi and staff welcomed the passengers at the airport and later a cake cutting ceremony was held at the airport. The station manager and staff saw off the passengers.

Initially, flights between Lahore and Islamabad will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, PIA spokesman said.
