Hamza maintains one-shot lead at Sindh Amateurs

KARACHI: The leaderboard at the Sindh Amateur Golf Championship remains unchanged after the second round.

Hamza Shikoh is still top with Arsalan Shikoh Khan still a shot off the lead. The only change is that Arsalan is joined by Saim Shazli in joint second.

Hamza returned with a card of 76 on Saturday for an aggregate of 147. Arsalan matched him with 76 and is on 148 alongside Saim (73).

Yashal Shah and Omer Shikoh Khan both fired rounds of 72 and are joint-third at 151.

National amateur champion Omar Khalid is 10 shots off the lead heading into Sunday’s final round after he managed 74.

The two-round senior competition teed off on Sunday with Khurram Khan taking the lead with a 73, three shots ahead of Asad I.A. Khan.

Sohail Kareem Rana and Azhar Abbas are joint-third at 78.

Dania Syed clinched the ladies title after she shot a 75 for a two-round aggregate of 158. Aania Farooq (81) finished runner-up with 164.

Maj. Kh. Rizwan Farooq won the veterans’ contest, featuring nine holes over two rounds, with a score of 79. Retired Gp Capt Aftab A. Khan was the net winner with 69.
