Punjab has reported 568 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, marking the fifth day the province recorded more than 500 new cases. With the addition of the new infections, the provincial total has risen to 167,345.

The province, which has the country's highest death toll from Covid-19, also reported 19 more fatalities. The total number of deaths in Punjab has reached 5,204.
