UoP to have e-file tracking system

PESHAWAR: The National Information Technology Board is establishing e-system at the University of Peshawar to facilitate the employees in tracking files and documents within shortest possible time.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohammad Idrees and Registrar Dr Yorid Ahsan Zia held a meeting with officials of the IT Board in this regard, according to a press release issued here on Sunday.

Mr Idrees told the meeting that there was an immediate need to have a system in place where an authorised employee could locate the required documents in the shortest possible time.

The function and mechanism of e-office application developed by the National IT Board was demonstrated in the meeting.

CEO National IT Board Shabahat Ali Shah is extending cooperation in establishing the system in the UoP.

Registrar Dr Ahsan Zia said physical movement of official files and documents consumed a lot of time and required continuous monitoring from desk-to-desk before the final decision was made by senior officials.
