Conspiracies to be foiled, says Alyani

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has promised equal development for all the 33 districts of the province.

Speaking at a public meeting in Washuk town on Monday during his visit to backward districts of southern Balochistan, the chief minister said his government would foil conspiracies by anti-people elements with the help of the masses.

He said the provincial government was utilising all resources for speedy development and prosperity of Balochistan, which was neglected by previous governments.

“Giving top priority to development of backward areas of the province is the main aim of the government, while we are making all-out efforts to eliminate unemployment, provide best health care, promote quality education, especially technical education, and modernising the infrastructure was included in the our plan for bringing the province at par with other areas of the country,” Mr Alyani said.

Promises equal uplift of all districts

He said that the issues facing the backward Washuk district would be resolved as the coalition government had taken all steps to provide basic facilities to the people of the new district.

“I have very deep-rooted relations and affiliation with the people of Washuk as their elders always played an important role in the development of the country,” Mr Alyani said, adding that his government was also taking steps for providing jobs to educated youths of the area.

The chief minister said that the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) had emerged as a big political force in the province as majority of the people had voted for it in the last elections. “The party leadership will not betray the confidence of the people of Balochistan who brought the party to power through their vote,” he said.

Mr Alyani said that the present government was taking keen interest in speedy development of the province and providing all basic faculties to the people to remove their sense of deprivation.

He said his government had launched major development projects, including highways and hospitals, not only in Lasbela but also in all districts of Balochistan.

Provincial ministers Mir Arif Jan Mohammad Hasni and Ziaullah Langove, Senior Vice President of the ruling BAP Mujeebur Rehman Mohammad Hasni, MNA Ehsanullah Reki, BAP’s Washuk District President Abdul Qudoos Mirwani and elders of the area also spoke at the public meeting.

Meanwhile, CM Alyani attended a programme at a seminary organised by Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam leader and member of the provincial assembly Zabid Reki.

Mr Alyani promised that schemes necessary for development of Washuk district would be included in the next fiscal year’s budget.

Zabid Reki apprised the chief minister about lack of basic facilities in Washuk district.

Later, Mr Alyani visited the under-construction District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) and inaugurated the newly constructed building of Levies Station and Football Ground in Washuk.
