Wonder Craft: Rainbow pencil toppers

It’s been a while since we have made some funky school-related stuff; and I know many of you would be so excited that the schools are opening soon.

So today we are making something unique and beautiful, which you can take with you to school and show your friends your new creation.

Today’s craft is rainbow pencil toppers, they are easy to make and beautiful to look at.

Things you need:

  1. Colourful felt or foamy sheet pieces (6 or 7 different colours)

  2. White foam or felt pieces to make clouds

  3. Hot glue

  4. Scissors

  5. Pencils

  6. Black marker

Directions:

  1. First of all, cut out a three-inch cloud from the white foam or felt piece (whatever easily available to you) picture 2.

  2. Cut ‘.5’ cm wide and 3-inch long strips from colourful foamy pieces, see picture 3.

  3. Cover one-inch of the back of your pencil with any coloured foam piece, picture 4.

  4. Glue the strips one by one on the back of the cloud, picture 5.

  5. Glue pencil on the back of the cloud, and make a smile on the front side of the cloud; pictures 6 and 7 and put it aside.

  6. For the second rainbow pencil topper, we will need the same-coloured strips but this time a bit thick, cut two one-inch wide clouds, and a “D”-shape from any foamy piece, this should be two-inches-wide and 1.5-inch in height, picture 8.

  7. Cover the back of your pencil with a foamy sheet piece.

  8. If you have a thinner foamy sheet, like mine, cut the strips a bit wide, that is 1-inch width and 3-inches long, then two fold the strips vertically, picture 9.

  9. Glue the edge of the “D” shape and paste the first coloured strip, picture 10.

  10. Slowly and carefully glue all the strips in D-shape, pictures 11 and 12.

  11. When done, paste small clouds on both sides of the rainbow, picture 13.

  12. Paste the pencil in the centre of the rainbow, picture 14.
