Raisani asks why govt failed to arrest terrorists

QUETTA: Former senator and leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani has said the people of the province have been facing terrorism for a long time but no terrorist was arrested and punished by the government, which raises many questions over these incidents.

Speaking at a press conference at his residence here on Sunday, the BNP leader said that when Prime Minister Imran Khan, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid, the Balochistan government and PM’s special assistant Tahir Ashrafi alleged that India was behind the Mach tragedy because an organisation had claimed responsibility for the killings, then why the CTD registered a case against unidentified people. “This contradiction creates doubts,” he said, adding that Balochistan had been facing such incidents for a long time but none of the masterminds making Balochistan a hub of killings was arrested and punished.
