TAXILA: District education authorities on Wednesday issued show-cause notices to 49 teachers across the district and initiated investigation under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act, 2006.

District education officer of Elementary Education (Male Wing) issued the notices to teachers for not performing their duties as invigilators in the secondary school certificate (SSC) examination held under the auspices of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi. Sources in the department said that these teachers did not show up at their respective duty stations.

Teachers who have been issued notices are two from Attock, 12 from Jand, 12 from Pindigheb, 11 from Hazro, six from Hassanabdal and six from Fatehjang.
