PN hopes for better ties with Djibouti in naval affairs

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy on Friday expressed hope for increased naval cooperation with Djibouti.

“It is expected that the significant interactions with political and military leadership will open new vistas of mutual cooperation between the two countries in general and the navies in particular,” media directorate of PN said after a visit to the Naval Headquarters by the president of Djibouti’s National Parliament, Mohamed Ali Houmed, and commander of the Djibouti Navy, Lt Col Ahmed Daher Djama, along with their delegation.

During the foreign delegation’s meeting with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and cooperation.

“Various aspects of collaboration between the two navies and avenues of further enhancing bilateral relationship were also discussed,” PN said.

“Both sides agreed on the need to improve bilateral naval cooperation,” it added.
