KARACHI: ... MALIKA Baltistani, Chairman, Gilgit-Baltistan United Front, yesterday [Nov 30] asked the political leaders to support the “just” struggle launched by six Baltistanis to secure their fundamental rights. In a statement, she asked the political leaders to make their stand on Baltistan clear.

She expressed her deep sorrow at the havoc played in the recent cyclone in East Pakistan and assured the sufferers that Baltistanis would never lay behind in sharing their sorrows and miseries. — Agency

[Meanwhile, as reported by our correspondent in Karachi,] The Asian Development Bank has agreed to give a loan of 6.73 million dollars to the Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan for the modernisation and development of fisheries in East and West Pakistan. The Asian Bank’s credit is to be utilised by June 30, 1974. …

In West Pakistan the ADB’s credit will be utilised by ADBP for modernisation and equipping 400 fishing vessels owned or operated by members of the Karachi Fishermen’s Co-operative Society or of other fishermen co-operative societies in Baluchistan. …

The repayment of loan for West Pakistan has been fixed at 12 years with two years’ grace period and in the case of East Pakistan ... 15 years with a grace period of three years.
