Lakki students to have hassle-free online classes

LAKKI MARWAT: The district elementary and secondary education department has formulated a strategy to launch online classes for the students of higher secondary level during the lockdown due to the second Covid-19 wave to ensure hassle-free learning for them.

A decision to this effect was taken at separate meetings chaired by district education officer Midrarullah on Saturday.

The participants discussed various aspects for successful conduct of the online classes.

The meeting also nominated coordinators and technical focal person for the initiative.

Mr Midrarullah said all out efforts would be made to provide the students with hassle-free learning online. He directed the teachers to ensure their attendance in schools to address problems of students.

WOMAN DIES: A young woman, who was found by the police in critical condition at the city’s main bus stand here on Friday night, died in a hospital in Bannu, according to reports on Saturday.

An official said the police reached the bus stand after being informed that a woman was lying there in critical condition. He said the cops shifted the injured woman to the Government City Hospital, Lakki, but doctors referred her to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital in Bannu, where she was pronounced dead.

The official said the deceased woman had taken some poisonous substance which led to her death.

The body was transported back to the government city hospital for identification.
