LOWER DIR: Jamaat-i-Islami will hold its first anti-government public rally in Timergara on Sunday (today) after the 2018 general elections.

JI provincial general secretary Abdul Wasi visited the site on Saturday along with former MNA Sahibzada Yaqub Khan, former MPA Izazul Mulk Afkari and other party leaders and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.

On this occasion, Mr Wasi told mediapersons that the JI Timergara rally against the government would break all previous records.

He said JI was neither part of the government nor opposition, but it was raising voice for the poor masses who had suffered a lot during the last two and a half years.

He said JI chief Senator Sirajul Haq would announce a party line for the future during the rally. He said the PPP, PML-N and PTI had governed the country and none of them could resolve problems being faced by people of the country.
