Reserved seats

THE Directorate of Colleges and Higher Education Quetta nominates students from Balochistan for the reserved seats in other provinces. To do so, it conducts NTS test every year.

This year the entry test were to be held on Sept 5, but was postponed to Sept 18. After conducting the test, the NTS took more than six weeks to announce the results. The manner in which the NTS test was held put students in a quandary for many reasons. Many students were waiting to take admission in a university of their choice based on the result, and the deadline for admissions in many universities was fast approaching.

The test result announcement was displayed only on the NTS notice board and was not announced on social media. The students hailing from far-flung areas faced problems knowing how they had fared.

Students who took admissions in universities where classes had already started will face problems in completing academic work and may face attendance issues. Students could not seek admission in some universities because mid-term examinations are about to begin. This is to request the Balochistan government to ensure the NTS exam is held earlier and the results are announced quickly to save students from unnecessary hassle.
