CHAKWAL: A teenager girl allegedly shot herself dead over a marriage dispute, police and Rescue 1122 said on Sunday. The incident occurred in Odherwal village located in the area of Saddar police. A police official told Dawn that the deceased wanted to marry a boy but her parents were against it.

“The boy belonged to another caste while the parents of the deceased wanted to marry her with her first cousin,” a police official said.

He added that apparently getting depressed, the girl shot herself dead by a pistol. “The evidence collected so far suggest that it is a suicide.
