Commissioner wants all projects completed by Dec 31

RAWALPINDI: Commissioner retired Capt Mohammad Mahmood has asked the district administration to complete ongoing development schemes in Rawalpindi district by Dec 31 without compromising on quality of work.

He said strict action would be taken if the deadline for the project was not met.

 He took exception to delay in repairing of streets in PP-16 which had been torn up to lay gas pipeline.

He directed the building department to complete the construction work on Rescue 1122 building in Kahuta in 10 days.

He was presiding over a meeting to review development projects at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. 

Apart from public representatives, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi retired Captain Anwarul Haq, Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Rawalpindi Mahim Asif, officers of Highways Department were also present in the meeting.

Commissioner asked the Forest Department to expedite the process of issuing NOCs for installing electricity poles and laying gas pipelines in Kotli Sattian and Murree.
