Late Ali Akbar’s family gets LCCA assistance

LAHORE: The an emergent meeting of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Committee of the Lahore City Cricket Association has decided to fix a monthly stipend for the family of its groundsman late Ali Akbar, besides giving his brother a job at the LCCA ground.

The 34-year-old Ali, who died due to a sudden cardiac arrest last Wednesday, left behind a widow and three children.

The committee also decided to raise special funds for the deceased’s family.

The committee meeting was chaired by Ahmad Ayaz Khan and featured Abid Hussain (secretary), Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Chaudhry Ramzan Ali and Malik Zahid Mahmood (members).
