Three killed as car attacked near Naurang
LAKKI MARWAT: Three people were killed when a car they were travelling in was attacked by their rivals near Naurang town here on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the limits of Ghoriwala police station of the neighbouring Bannu district, police officials said, adding the car driver, Waqas of Ghulam Ali Samti village of Lakki Marwat, was wounded in the attack.
The deceased included Malik Asghar Khan Advocate and Shahzeb Khan of Nezam Bazaar Bannu, and Burhanullah of Nar Mohammad Ghaznikhel area of Lakki.
The officials said the victims were returning to Naurang after attending a court hearing in Bannu when they were attacked over a blood feud.
The officials said the bodies and injured were shifted to the district headquarters hospital, where the bodies were handed over to relatives after postmortem.
A case was registered against the suspected killers, including Shakir, Faizuullah, Rahatullah, Mehrban, Sajidullah and Hamid Nawaz on the complaint of Aurangzeb Khan, a nephew of deceased Asghar Khan.
Meanwhile, the Ghaznikhel police arrested a proclaimed offender in injured condition after an exchange of fire in Agari Khanzadkhel area. An official named the outlaw Ali Mohammad, who was shifted to the district headquarters hospital.
The policemen also seized a rifle, a pistol, bullets and hashish from the arrested man.
