SUKKUR: A special team of police carried out combing operation in different areas of Khanpur Mahar town on Saturday and picked up 10 suspects for interrogation.

The team led by ASP Zafar Ali and Khanpur Mahar SHO Mithal Khakhrani conducted raids in localities of Sahanjro, Masoo Wah, Pir Bhari and others and carried out search of the premises of hotels and residential quarters from where the suspects were detained.

SHO Khakhrani told reporters that the combing operation was launched to cleanse the town of criminal elements.

The suspects’ relatives rejected the SHO’s claim. They alleged that during a raid in Kamoo Gadani village the raiding police party took away with them solar panels and other valuables.
