Dengue threat

WHILE Covid-19 is keeping everyone busy, a new threat in the form of dengue is spreading at a quick pace in Punjab. It has become routine in Pakistan for dengue to ravage the country every year in October. Over the past few years, dengue has claimed thousands of lives.

In the light of the above, the federal and provincial government authorities need to be proactive and ensure that they have taken all precautionary measures to deal with dengue.

It is the responsibility of the provincial health authorities to launch timely campaigns to eradicate the mosquitoes that carry the deadly dengue virus.
